Thanks to many people who have emailed me over the last week after I removed the support forums in favour of dedicated support email system – however it is clear that people actually did find the forums useful and therefore I have reinstated the forums on this site.
I also took the opportunity to restyle the forums into the main site and to add some new features such as “Alert Phil” and “Add to knowledgebase” links so that you can quickly get my attention or ask for a good post to be added to the forum.
I am also now making clear that I personally will only visit the forums when requested or as and when other work commitments allow. The support forums have never been the primary method of support (The primary method of support is by direct email to support@phil-taylor.com) however it appears that it is a valuable method that users of our components (and non-customers) enjoy using to find out about our components or get peer support from other users. I underestimated the numbers of people using the forums greatly and therefore I have taken on board the advice of those many people emailing me.
