Many Many more Joomla based sites are being hacked daily at the moment - and ITS NOT JOOMLA’s fault!
Firstly let me say the sites were NOT hacked through Joomla! They were all hacked through Joomla Custom Components!
If you are running Joomla 1.0.10 then there are no known security holes in that version!
HOWEVER here is a long list of custom components that have been used to hack Joomla sites, If you have any of these custom components you may get hacked!!:
extCalender
OpenSEF
phpBB Forum (com_forum)
SimpleBoard Forum
VideoDB
Mambo-SMF Forum
LoudMouth
PollXT
HashCash
perForms
Google Page Rank Module
BSQ SiteStats
MultiBanners
MiniBB
New Article Component
Advanced Poll
JomBok
ArtLinks
PCCookBook
Mambo/Joomla SiteMap (Custom Component)
Galleria
com_spray
and many other components…
I write this to inform you of thiese facts, and also to let you know, as our customer, that none of the components on www.phil-taylor.com have been hacked or used to hack Joomla websites! Yippee!
You should really only install components from TRUSTED sources, from developers that you trust!

We are pleased to launch (albeit in a minimual version) our new customer centre where you can view all your transactions, download & print VAT Invoices (PDF) and download your products directly from our site. The reason for the change is the new fraud rules that we are slowly introducing (Yes even a site as small as ours gets many fraud credit card transactions per month!) and also the high number of false spam and false virus alerts that some servers are filtering our emails which have genuine software attached which has meant customers not getting their paid for software - the new customer centre resolves this as there are direct links to download software directly from your browser.
The security of download links is very important to us so we have implemented a 3 point check system (Developed by ourselves) This should protect us at the same time as providing you with a quicker method of getting update files. We have replaced the updates page with the new customer centre from today. The download links will deliver the latest available files of your chosen component.
After a purchase, an email will still be dispatched with software attached, we hope you get this, if not please visit the customer centre to download directly.
