Joomla Knowledgebase is only compatible with Joomla 1.5 SVN and not the latest RC3 of Joomla 1.5 - this is because (considerable) changes are still being made of the Joomla 1.5 code base, both for refactoring and for bug fixes and JoomlaKB relies on these changes/fixes post-RC3.

We have now updated the Joomla Knowledgebase FAQ and download page to reflect this.

On a brighter note, we are please to announce the release of Joomla Knowledgebase Demo site running Joomla 1.5 SVN (Dated Dec5) so you can now test drive JoomlaKB in Joomla 1.5 (See the new interface!).

We have already completed some huge new features, and fixed (almost) all reported bugs (reported in the forum).

One of next weeks big announcements will be the first release of Joomla Knowledgebase for Joomla 1.5 which will operate without the need for the Legacy Plugin that Joomla 1.5 has for old components. This is a great testament to the bfFramework that we have developed that allows us to rapidly code once and run that in both versions of Joomla.

We have also ensured/completed development and testing of SEF integration with third party applications such as OpenSEF and sh404SEF as these are quite popular SEF Extensions for Joomla. You are no longer limited to SEF Advance. This is also in the release next week

Joomla Knowledgebase (next release) is now JoomlaFish compatible! Meaning you can now have multiple language translations of your articles and categories. Also better support for non utf-8 encoding in Joomla 1.0.x is built in now - with Joomla 1.5 being all UTF-8 all special chars will display perfectly!

Joomla Knowledgebase for Joomla 1.5 will be a separate zip file from the Joomla 1.0.x version, this is to make it compatible with Joomla 1.5 installer in non legacy mode. Other than the installation XML file the two zip files are (almost) identical (Some things like the free addons might be different between the two to ensure that the new implementation of plugins in Joomla 1.5 is used to best advantage)

Joomla Knowledgebase for Joomla 1.5 will be automatically added to your myJoomla.com account when released.

We the excitement is building - its almost time to release the beta of Joomla Knowledgebase to the public!

In order to build excitement we are busy generating some videos of the product for you to see it in action, at the moment ony the admin side has rendered but we wanted to put that out before bed.

We are so excited about this one! This is our second component build upon our own bfFramework and replaces our old mosKnowledgebase component.

Joomla Knowledgebase will be released to a select few under a closed beta program later today - once we have received and processed the feedback from that we will be releasing our first public beta of Joomla Knowledgebase.

Joomla Knowledgebase now uses our bfFramework, that has been recently upgraded to provide xAJAX 0.5 RC versions and other enhancements such as object caching and templating.  With templating you can design and publish internal templates to areas of Joomla Knowledgebase with ease!

Joomla Knowledgebase is an elegant knowledgebase/FAQ/Content manager for Joomla.  In its final state there will be two versions, one for Joomla 1.0.x and one for Joomla 1.5 - both components will have the same features (But can only be installed on the version designed for - you buy once and get both versions!)

We are busy developing a migration strategy for existing mosKB users, and redeveloping a dedicated website for Joomla Knowledbase - as soon as it is finished we will let you go and play with the online demo
